Coppid Beech Hotel, Bracknell

Posted by

In September I stayed for two nights at the Coppid Beech Hotel in Bracknell. The hotel is pretty big and has plenty of rooms from standard to executive and family. I paid for my room and stayed the two nights for the duration of BlogOn Toys conference and it was a lot of fun.

Coppid Beech Hotel Standard Room Tour

My standard room was located on the third floor and and comfortable double bed, bathroom with bath and shower, a balcony, desk, seating area and plenty of space to move. There were plenty of plug sockets, decent air conditioning.

From the video you can see what the room was like with my quick room tour. The hotel itself is Alpine themed and located very close to a ski centre as well as being ten minutes away from Legoland, Windsor. The hotel has plenty of conference space, a wellness centre with swimming pool, a large lounge bar in the lobby, a resturant which is reservation only and a nightclub. I didn’t use all of the features as the conference covered our food and entertainment on the Saturday and to be honest I just needed an early night after a long day of learning!

Checking In & Setting up a Tab

Upon arriving at the hotel and checking in I was given my keycard for room access and informed that I could start a tab on the room where I would need to pay £50. If I didn’t use that facility after checking out then I would be refunded it within a week or so time. If I didn’t want to do that but wanted room service I would need to pay cash at the door. It didn’t take long for me to head down to the lounge bar to meet with friends and grab a bite to eat.

Facilities at the Coppid Beech Hotel

The lounge bar was nice and it got busy quickly with other bloggers staying the night as well as other guests of the hotel. I had a plain burger and fries with a few G&T’s and a chocolate orange dessert. The food was fine and not so badly priced but the drinks were on the steep side at £7 or so for a Gin and tonic! The saturday was spent mostly at the conference but I did get a bit peckish when I returned to my room at 10.30pm and ordered some nachos and a sandwich.

I didn’t have many complaints really, my room was tidied up for me when I was out on the Saturday but other than that I wasn’t disturbed. The hotel decor in some places is a little dated and I know some other bloggers had a few issues but I can’t really comment on them as it wasn’t representative of my stay there. I had a nice two nights in a comfortable bed with good air con. My only complaint I guess would be the bath felt a little weak underfoot when I was in the shower.
